Faculty Success, from the vendor Watermark, is an online application that shares faculty's stories about teaching, research, and service. Some data is brought in from other systems and publications, research, and other credentials can be entered by faculty. This information is shared in many ways. Websites display information for recruitment and publicity purposes. Department chairs, Deans, and the Provost's Office can instantly get information for fundraising. Accomplishments are also shared with University Marketing, Community Engagement and Service Learning, and other Illinois State offices. All by just entering information once.

Faculty Success release notes dating back to December 14th of 2021 posted by Watermark can be found on the Watermark Support website. A curated version of those release notes, or specific to ISU announcements follow.
11/17/22 - It's been just over a year since we rebranded Digital Measures to Faculty Success. We're retiring the "formerly Digital Measures" portion of our logo, and you can see this change in your navigation bar.
08/10/21 - Digital Measures Activity Insight has been renamed Watermark Faculty Success. Digital Measures Workflow has been renamed “Watermark Reviews, Promotion and Tenure”. Tutorials and other documentation will still reference old nomenclature until they can be updated but the terms can be considered synonymous.
05/12/20 - Imports for Digital Measures by Watermark makes it 5x faster to import faculty CV information! See how CV Imports works in just about 5 minutes. Read more on WatermarkInsights.com.
12/10/19 - Digital Measures screens are now more mobile-device-friendly. Screens will look a little different because of this. You'll also notice a new file upload experience that allows drag and drop.
7/1/19 - Multiple colleges at ISU have used separate versions of Digital Measures over the years. These separate versions are being combined into one ISU version. Because of this, you will see some minor changes to accommodate the unique needs of different colleges and departments.

Photos may take up to 6 hours to appear on a website. If your photo does not show after that time frame please contact support.
To add GAs: save a copy of the WFS Onboarding.xlsx document and add information for new (not returning) GAs. Then submit this document on the Get IT Help page or by emailing it to supportcenter@ilstu.edu. Once CAS-IT receives the information, we work with Faculty Success by Watermark support team to have the accounts created. That process usually takes about five business days to complete. and the following day the GA will appear on all Department/School websites for which they have active appointments. Scheduled course information, and other directory information will also appear approximately one day after the account was created.
To remove GAs who are no longer teaching, conducting research, or otherwise providing service to your Department/School: Submit a Ticket on the Get IT Help page, or by emailing it to supportcenter@ilstu.edu, indicating that GAs need to be removed from a Department/School website. Provide a list of ULIDs or ISU email addresses and a link to the webpage for which these GAs should be removed. If a GA has an appointment with more than one Department/School, their Faculty Success by Watermark accounts will remain active, but the Department/School of the link provided will be removed thus removing them from that website. GAs who have an appointment in only one Department/School will have their Faculty Success by Watermark profile disabled (this does not delete any data within their profile).
Any item (but mostly publications) that show a date on the website require a date to be entered in Faculty Success by Watermark. The default value of "01" will show for any month or date not entered.
Intellectual Contributions/Publications must have all required fields populated before the entry can be saved. Look for a red asterik to indicate which fields are required. There are two fields that commonly trick people. Those are the "If a student, what is his/her level?" field in the Authors section and the date fields towards the bottom of an entry. At least one date type is required.
