Biography

Dr. Shelby Boehm is an Assistant Professor of English Education in the Department of English. Her research examines justice-oriented pedagogies in English language arts in the context of K-12 schooling and higher education. Her recent publications have appeared in English Leadership Quarterly, English Journal, Voices from the Middle, ALAN Review, and Journal of Literacy Research. At ISU, she teaches courses on secondary teaching methods and critical issues in English education. Prior to this faculty role, she taught high school English in Florida.
