Biography

Dr. Ryan Patrick received a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He did his postdoctoral work in plant functional genomics at Purdue University, partly supported by a USDA-NIFA postdoctoral research fellowship, and joined the School of Biological Sciences in Fall 2025.

Research Interests & Areas

My research focuses on using big data approaches in genomics to generate testable hypotheses about plant biology and in particular to characterize regulation and production of plant specialized products that are involved in interactions with their environment.
