Biography

Michaelene Cox was a journalist for more than a decade before beginning a career in academia. She joined ISU in 2004 and is professor of international relations. She also directed the university’s Global Studies interdisciplinary minor program.

Teaching Interests & Areas

International relations, international law, human security, civic engagement, research methodologies

Research Interests & Areas

Cross-disciplinary interests include quality of governance issues such as human security, armed conflict, corruption, and digital government. Scholarship of Teaching and Learning includes pedagogical matters such as visual methodologies and collaborative learning.
