Biography
Dr. Autumn J. West is an Instructional Assistant Professor of English in the Writing Program at Illinois State University. Her current work critically examines how contemporary writing practices are shaped by the interplay of digital tools with classroom learning and students' everyday literate experiences. This includes critically examining the integration of emergent technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in relation to student uptake, interaction, and agency. She investigates how literacies are mobilized across different contexts—academic and beyond—challenging traditional boundaries of what counts as writing.
