The World Wide Campus Student Opportunity Fund provides financial support to undergraduate
students of the College of Arts and Sciences at Illinois State University who plan to participate in
a study abroad program connected with the university. This grant is intended to
supplement travel funds provided by departments/schools or other organization.
Awards are for $750 for travel as part of a study abroad program connected with
the university.
The Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will make these awards. Applications
from all undergraduate students who have either a first or second major in the College of Arts
and Sciences will be considered. Each proposal must include the endorsement of the student’s
Chair/Director on the cover page of the proposal.
Two submission and review cycles will occur each academic year. A student may receive this

In addition, students should attach a short essay about why they’ve chosen the country where they are
studying, and how the study abroad will complement their academic and professional plans. The
description should be written in a clear and straightforward style and not exceed 350 words.
