Autopsy Reports Released of B/N Accidents
Autopsy reports have been released about the two car accidents that occured over the weekend in Bloomington and Normal.
Travis Kinsella, 30, was pronounced deceased on the scene of a car crash on east Linden Street on Saturday afternoon. Travis’ autopsy was completed earlier this morning and it has been indicated that he died as a result of probable smoke inhalation. Forensic toxicology tests have been ordered. The reason why Travis’ vehicle left the roadway remains under investigation.
On Sunday at 2am, Bloomington dispatch was notified of a hit and run incident at the corner of Main and Washington Streets in Bloomington. Two people, a male and female, were transported to Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.
The female, Bloomington resident Lauren Leffler, 21, was pronounced brain dead later that afternoon. Her family is pursuing organ donation, and an autopsy has been tentatively scheduled with the McLean County Coroner’s office for tomorrow morning.
The male victim remains in the care of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, and has minor injuries.
