Senior History-Social Sciences Education major Simon Rodriquez Jr. leaves June 9, 2012 to spend four weeks in Cuernavaca, Mexico as part of the Fulbright Hays Group Project Abroad 2012. In cuernavaca, which is 45 miles South of Mexico city, Simon and six other students will be working with Mexican children and families five days a week and living with a host family for a total immersion in the language and culture of the area.
Rodriguez, who will student teach in the fall of 2013, says he aspires to teach history in his home town area and encourage students to attend college. We are proud of you Simon!
