I received my Ph.D. in English Studies at Illinois State University in December 2006 and am Associate Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Soochow University, Taipei, Taiwan. I have been the department chair since 2010 and coordinator of the graduate program since 2011. I teach graduate and undergraduate courses in children’s literature and the Bible as literature as well as research and language training classes. I recently edited a volume of selected papers from the comparative literature conference: The Wounded Body in Literature in which I have one article, “Authentic Wounds?: The Ethics of Representation in Two Recent Adolescent Novels.” I am chairing a new organization in Taiwan, the Taiwan Children’s Literature Research Association (TCLRA).
