General Meetings

Chemistry Resource Room – Julian Hall 215
First Meeting is January 24th (6:30 pm) – Dr. Hitchcock will be discussing how to prepare a resume
2nd Meeting is February 7th (6:30 pm) – Titration contest. Test your titration skills in a friendly contest with your friends.
3rd Meeting is February 21st (6:30 pm) – Faculty research presentations. Interested in research? Come listen to the various research projects that you can become involved in at ISU.
4th meeting is March 7th (6:30 pm) – ChemClub will be challenging another RSO at a game of Jeopardy. “I’ll take Name that Element for $1000.”
5th meeting is March 21st (6:30 pm) – Presentation/Discussion of windfarms by Mr. Thomas. Find out what it takes to maintain a windmill. Questions are welcomed.
Friday, March 22nd (6pm to 8pm) - Weird Science Family Night at Children’s Discovery Museum. Volunteers needed.
Saturday, March 30th (10 am to 2 pm) – NanoDays at Children’s Discovery Museum. Volunteers needed.
6th meeting is April 4th (6:30 pm) – Poster session. Those who were awarded Chem Club travel/research grants will be presenting a poster on the research they’ve been working on.
Saturday, April 13th (11 am to 5 pm) – Family Science Day. Volunteers needed.
7th meeting is April 18th (6:30 pm) – Dishant Taylor (ISU alum – chemistry major) will be discussing his experience in the chemical industry.
April 25th – Oakland Elementary School Demos. Volunteers needed.
Final meeting of the semester is May 2nd (6:30 pm) – Mario Kart party. Enjoy the end of the semester by challenging your friends to a game of Mario Kart.
**ChemClub will be having a bags contest for charity this semester. Details to follow.
