Todd Nelson, former executive director of Merck research labs will be giving a talk titled, “So You’ve Made a Compound with Biological Activity, but What’s Next? Tomorrow, Tuesday October 29th, there will be a chem club meeting at 6:00pm with demos on climate science. This meeting will be followed by a seminar in Stevenson Hall, Room 101 from Dr. Jerry A Bell titled, “A Conversation on the Science of Climate Change.”

Our club recieved an “Outstanding Chapter Award” from American Chemical Society (ACS) and is recognized as a “Green Chemistry Student Chapter“. The award ceremony will be held at the National ACS meeting in Dallas, TX, next year (March 2014).
Our club (Andrea, John, Stephan, and Mihir) successfully completed to videotape Climate Sceince Outreach demonstrations (Led by Dr. Shaw) which will be shared with local high schools and colleges as well as international schools
A fellow chem club member (Andrea) will be discussing her internship at NASA this summer.
Seven Chemclub travel recipients, who attended the ACS meeting in Indiana, will also briefly share their expereince at the meeting.
