The Attorneys Advisory Board (AAB) of Illinois State University hosted its fourteenth annual pre-law awards banquet in the Old Main Room in the Bone Student Center on April 26. Keynote speaker Judge Lisa Holder White was introduced by her colleague and AAB member Justice James A. Knecht. Following her address, awards were presented on behalf of the pre-law and mock trial programs. Brianne Madden received the Carl E. Kasten Pre-Law Leadership Award, and Millie Koppean was presented with the Tom Eimermann Outstanding Pre-Law Student Award.
Four mock trial awards were also bestowed. Judge Walter C. Brandon, Jr. was presented with the Mock Trial Distinguished Service Award for his extraordinary support of the ISU mock trial program. Kathryn A. Campbell received the award for Outstanding Attorney; Jaroslav E. Padour, III was presented with the award for Outstanding Witness, and Michael J. Stern was the winner of the Barry S. Tolchin Mock Trial Leadership Award. Professor Tom McClure serves as mock trial educator coach, and Mr. Scott Kording serves as attorney coach. Mr. Tristan Bullington is the assistant coach.
