The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST) at Illinois State University is seeking volunteers for its 3rd Annual Family Science Day event, to be held at Redbird Arena on Saturday, April 13th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Family Science Day is a public outreach event to educate and inspire K-8 students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
This family-friendly event encourages scientific discovery through hands-on activities, challenges, and demonstrations while providing the opportunity to learn about scientific careers from actual research scientists and science educators. In addition, the event helps to raise awareness of the importance of STEM in our society.
This year’s event features the Museum of Science and Industry and Bot Brawl 2013. CeMaST is reaching out for your help in order to make this event possible.
We are seeking volunteers to help with this large event for the following time slots on Saturday, April 13th: 10:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to help out the community. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete our volunteer form at: http://cemast.illinoisstate.edu/volunteer/.
