Professor İsmihan Bayramoğlu of the Izmir University of Economics in Turkey was an invited guest lecturer at Illinois State University. As a part of the BIOMERGE (Biomathematics International Organization for Mentoring, Exchange of Research and Graduate Education) agreement, Dr. Bayramoğlu presented a series of seminars on April 12-21. He delivered lectures to graduate students on the theory of order statistics, multivariate probability distributions, and copulas.

Also within the framework of BIOMERGE agreement, Dr. Olcay Akman, Professor of Mathematics at Illinois State University, recently taught graduate level courses  on linear statistical models and applied statistics to the  Applied Mathematics and Statistics Ph.D students.
