Interns Complete Work

Christa Knight and Elizabeth Johnson

Elizabeth Johnson and Christa Knight, two Illinois State University students majoring in English publishing studies, are completing an internship in the College of Arts and Sciences office. Working under the direction of Assistant Dean Deborah Fox, this semester they were responsible for writing, editing, and publishing CASNews. “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Liz and Christa,” said Fox. “For the past four months, they’ve worked very hard to ensure that each week they share the excellent work being done in our College.”

The two students completed the internship as part of the course requirement for English 398–Professional Practice: Internship in English, taught by Dr. James Kalmbach. Johnson, a graduate of Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Iowa, will graduate from Illinois State on May 11. Knight, an alumna of Crystal Lake South High School, will continue her studies in the Department of English in August.

This is the last issue of CASNews for the semester. CASNews will be published on the third Monday of the month in June and July. It will resume weekly publication with the start of the Fall 2012 semester in August.
