Biography

Lindsey grew up in Littleton, Colorado and moved to Fort Collins Colorado to attend Colorado State University where she developed passions for sustainability, local development, trade justice, and volunteerism. Lindsey proceeded to join AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) and she and her team traveled around the West working for various organization that possess a need. Lindsey is attending ISU to deepen her understanding of social interactions involving young adults and impoverished populations. Lindsey hopes to gain employment in leadership for a non-profit which offers volunteer opportunities for young adults to work with low-income or no-income populations.

Research Interests & Areas

Lindsey hopes to conduct independent research on how volunteerism connects young adults to communities they might not otherwise engage with, particularly people experiencing homelessness, and the outcome of this interaction.
