State Partnerships

Administrative Office of Illinois Courts. A faculty member in the School of Social Work conducts workshops in the 11th Judicial Circuit on “Dual Risk” cases—those cases coming before the courts in which children are considered at risk of abuse or neglect because of domestic violence in the home.

Illinois Department of Commerce. Faculty and students in the College’s Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development prepare economic impact analyses for communities in Illinois.

Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. The Department of Geography-Geology provides continuing education for IEPA professionals.

Illinois State Geological Survey. Faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Geography-Geology provide three-dimensional geologic mapping and research on aquifer characteristics of buried bedrock valleys, including the Teas-Mahomet, the principal aquifer for much of central Illinois.

Nicor, Inc. The Department of Geography-Geology provides mapping and hydrogeologic analysis of NICOR’s underground storage fields in central Illinois.
